1 Peter 1:23

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

Great question, AJ! To many others, salvation may come to mind when they think of the fireman who rescued them from a burning building. It may be the paramedic that performed CPR on them when they stopped breathing. Or, It might even be one who was saved from terrorism by a soldier/hero.

All of those people are brave individuals and are very important in our lives. There are many who would give their life to save another. I would never discredit any of those people for saving lives, because they are very important and should receive the credit they deserve. We definitely need more people like them. However, there is One who is my hero. Not only has He saved my life in this lifetime, but He has given me life beyond this lifetime as we know it. His name is Jesus Christ. He is my Salvation and whether you have a hero who saved your life in this lifetime or not, He can be your Salvation for an eternity. Thank you, Jesus, for being my Salvation.

Blessings,

Jeff McLaughlin

When I occasionally slip into feelings of depression and worthlessness and feel about as valuable as a discounted bargain basement item:(, I always snap out of it when I stop and think about the price that Jesus paid for my salvation:dry:. Jesus didn't die for bargain basement junk. He died for the most cherished things in the universe, you and me.:D

I absolutely agree. Salvation is a person and his name is Jesus Christ. Belisve on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. You do not need earn the salvation,it is a free gift.

People have a tendancy to reject free gifts and if we think we're good enough, we won't believe there is any value in the gift.   If we have truly received the gift of salvation and the person of Jesus, we will start to reflect something that the world is looking for and hopefully we will be able to share this gospel of salvation.    It's not just about inviting Jesus into our life, but sharing Jesus.

Salvation is the moment person believes on the Lord Jesus Christ with his/her heart, not just with the lips and head. Then comes the process of sanctification and it lasts till your last breath and finally glorification in the new body in Heaven.
