I see that there are a lot of worship musicians and singers signed on as members. Thank God! I need your help. My ego is getting FAT! As a musician/artist/studiotech-head I have certain skills and talents that put me in front of a lot of people that enjoy telling me what a talented musician/artist/studiotech-head, etc., etc. I am. I smile and say, "Thank you; praise God, he deserves all the praise.":) Which is all well and good, but some of that praise is getting absorbed and my ego is getting fat thighs. Help! What should I do? What have you done? Does my ego need to drop and give God 20? 50? 99?

I was told and it is biblical. When you hear a lot of praise and your ego is puffed up is the sign that devil tries to steal your rewards of the worship of God through pushing on your pride buttons by using other people. you need to be very careful. the moment you felt conviction Holy Spirit repent and ask God to give you strength to endure the temptation. But if you do not  have conviction of the Holy Spirit your answer should be " I worship Jesus Christ, my God and only Him I serve and praise".

Interesting thought, I'll just say this,.... compliments are like chewing gum, chew it up, enjoy the flavor, and then spit it out. You can't survive off of it.

But I will say if one can get their pride in check serving God becomes pretty easy....."If,.... my people which are called by my name, will..... humble themselves...."
